Types of Residential Surveys across South Wales

Looking to purchase a new home and needing a survey carried out? We carry out three different levels of surveys as
detailed below, depending on the type and age of property, certain surveys may be more appropriate than other to allow
you the best information regarding the house you are looking to buy.

Level 1 Elemental Defects Report.

This report is dealing with a specific issue, covering one or more of the following subjects:-

  • Damp
  • Timber Decay
  • Structural Issues
  • Movement
  • Cracking

Level 2 Homebuyers Report.*

This report is more conventional for properties in reasonable condition. It is a concise report detailing any significant problems that could affect the value of the property.

*Excluding Valuation.

Level 3 Full Building Survey.

Previously known as a structural survey, a ‘Full Building Survey’ covers all visible elements of the property, identifying defects, and specifying in detail any remedial works required. 

*Including annotated photographs.

On average a survey takes half a day for our Chartered Surveyors to record and note all information needed, and photograph the site. Larger properties, or buildings in a poor state of repair may take longer.

It generally takes four working days to get a report typed, photographs annotated and sent out to you.
